The room layout promotes the use of equipment and materials. Relevant graded toys are easily accessible to support the planned activities. A daily timetable of theme work and craft activities supports the development of large and small muscles and hand and eye co-ordination. First hand experiences through a child’s senses are of the most important for learning.
The motivation arising from well organised play activities combined with sensitive adult input is a most effective means of learning.  At times a child may need to work in a quieter environment to develop their concentration skills and help focus on the task in hand.
